J.D. Ellis Scholarship Fund
The Bishop J. Delano Ellis scholarship fund is established to provide advantage for a, heretofore, disenfranchised people with regard to an undergraduate or a graduate education. Historically, the beliefs and religious practices of Pentecostals have been a hindrance to desiring and achieving higher education. This can be attributed to the disinterest of the early Pentecostal fathers, and the teaching that being filled with the Holy Spirit and having a good testimony was sufficient.
Because we live in a more enlightened age, we saw the need for better-trained clergy in the Pentecostal Church, and the need for those who will carry the foundation of the Church into the future of the Church. The desire is to use this method for assisting serious students of the Pentecostal tradition in achieving an education that will ultimately minister to the entire Body of Christ, but more specifically, to enhance the ecclesiology and theology of the Pentecostal Church. Applicants from Western Pennsylvania and Northeast Ohio are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and to encourage other Pentecostal students of ministry to do the same.
One student will be selected to receive a $1,000 onetime scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP DONATION
"...Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver . . . Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God." (NIV) 2 Cor. 9:1, 6-12
